Trial user signups
07/15/2009 by SpikeIf you're interested in using Vivo, go here to obtain an Activation Code. We'll send you a code by email.
Want to help us out by providing some basic feedback as you use Vivo? Look for the checkbox option on the sign up form. We'll give you additional trial time as an incentive to help us out.
Also, if you have a standard camcorder, you may find you need the Sima Vivo video kit, which is designed to connect any camcorder to any computer.
We can also help you if you have questions about how to connect devices or start a live broadcast. Just call us at 1-800-909-VIVO, or email our customer support here or at support@vivolive.com.
New features
07/15/2009 by ChrisIn the past few weeks we've rolled out a few new features. When you broadcast a live event, we'll automatically save a copy for later viewing. You also have the option to share documents and presentations during your live event.
These features can be toggled on/off on the Customize page for your event:
You'll now see a tabbed interface on your event viewer page that enables switching between live and archived videos:
If you enable the presentation feature, you'll have the option to show PowerPoints, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or PDFs along with your live video stream:
We anticipate opening user signups for Vivo to the general public very soon. Check back or follow us on Twitter for updates.

The Great Debate on Immigration
04/14/2009 by ChrisOur friends at the National Road contacted us yesterday about a streaming a live event on Vivo that they're hosting at Washington and Jefferson College, just outside of Pittsburgh.
The event consists of a debate and discussion on US immigration policy and features two prominent guests, John Quinones of 20/20 and ABC News and nationally syndicated columnist Cal Thomas.
Watch the event live, right here at 7pm on April 14.
Two weeks and counting
04/09/2009 by ChrisOur team here at Vivo is excited to confirm that our launch for customers with Vivo access codes will take place on April 25. We're going through a whirlwind of preparations to make sure things go as smoothly as possible and our initial group of users have a great experience with the site. Long hours, lots of work, gallons of coffee and red bull, and very little sun (its raining anyway here in Pittsburgh) are ahead for our team, but we're confident we're up to the task.
We'll use this blog to keep you updated with Vivo development information, new features, public Vivo events, and anything else we find interesting in the world of live streaming. We'll also post our blog updates to our Twitter account, so follow us on there as well. We hope to see you streaming live on April 25th!
