Marr discussed Darkest Mercy, a exciting conclusion to her NY Times bestselling Wicked Lovely series. Fans got to hear Marr read excerpts from her book, talk about the book getting picked up for a movie, and get their questions answered through a live online chat.

Algonquin Book Club
03/22/2011 by StaffAlgonquin Book Club used Vivo to broadcast Julia Alvarez discussing her acclaimed novel, In the Time of Butterflies, with Edwidge Danticat. The event quickly sold out all 150 tickets, so it made sense to broadcast to a larger audience online. Through the live chat feature fans got the chance to ask Alverez questions about the books, who some of her favorite authors were, and find out about her upcoming projects.
Viewers of the broadcast also had the chance to purchase Alverez's book and get it signed by her right then through the Buy it Now option featured on the website.

Want to help us out by providing some basic feedback as you use Vivo? Look for the checkbox option on the sign up form. We'll give you additional trial time as an incentive to help us out.
Also, if you have a standard camcorder, you may find you need the Sima Vivo video kit, which is designed to connect any camcorder to any computer.

New features
07/15/2009 by ChrisIn the past few weeks we've rolled out a few new features. When you broadcast a live event, we'll automatically save a copy for later viewing. You also have the option to share documents and presentations during your live event.
These features can be toggled on/off on the Customize page for your event:
You'll now see a tabbed interface on your event viewer page that enables switching between live and archived videos:
If you enable the presentation feature, you'll have the option to show PowerPoints, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or PDFs along with your live video stream:
We anticipate opening user signups for Vivo to the general public very soon. Check back or follow us on Twitter for updates.

The Great Debate on Immigration
04/14/2009 by ChrisOur friends at the National Road contacted us yesterday about a streaming a live event on Vivo that they're hosting at Washington and Jefferson College, just outside of Pittsburgh.
The event consists of a debate and discussion on US immigration policy and features two prominent guests, John Quinones of 20/20 and ABC News and nationally syndicated columnist Cal Thomas.
